Wipe lips with provided aftercare wipe and apply healing ointment every 30 minutes for the next 3 hours.
Drink with a straw for 2 days.
Do not drink hot beverages for two days after the procedure.
Avoid drinks/food with dye (coffee/wine/blueberries).
Avoid biting, picking or licking your lips.
Avoid the sun. The sun will fade the pigment which is still settling into your skin.
Keep lips moist with provided healing ointment or Vaseline.
Peeling is expected and lips will appear faded (similar to pre-procedure). Color will slowly reappear after 3 to 4 weeks.
After your lips have healed, it is important to apply sunscreen in order to avoid fading. Lips can take 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired depth of color. Keeping your lips moist daily will help the pigment lasts longer. Everyone heals differently.
Never ever, ever pick, peel, rub, scratch, or pull on skin that is flaking off. You should allow it to heal, and fall off naturally.
For about three hours after the procedure, a tattooed site gets weepy which is the normal reaction. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the area with the provided wipes twice 2 hours apart.
It is the dry method of healing. Therefore, NO water (or any other liquid) may come in contact with the affected area for 7 days after procedure.
If dryness and itching occurs: ONLY STARTING on the 3rd day, you may use provided healing ointment on your eyebrows. Make sure your eyebrows are not greasy, just slightly moist; no residue of ointment should appear.
Do not use any ointment nor any creams with vitamins or antibiotics on your eyebrows.
It is normal to see a little bit of flaking, but no scabbing.
No sunbathing or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure.
Do not scratch, touch or sleep on your brows for at least 2 weeks.
If you keep your brows clean and dry, only a thin film (not a scab) will appear after 4-7 days. It will peel off by itself in 7-10 days (do NOT peel it off). The full healing period is for 28-45 days.
No heavy workouts for 7 days. (Avoid sweating)
No makeup on treated area for a minimum of 7 days.
No facials, Botox, microdermabrasion, laser, nor any chemical treatments for 4 weeks after procedure.
No Retin-A, Renova, Alpha Hyroxy, or Glycolic Acids ever on your eyebrows.
When outside (after your eyebrows are fully healed), it is recommended that you use SPF (sunblock) to prevent the area from fading.
Shower with your back to the water to avoid getting treated area wet and prevent shampoo/conditioner from getting into the pigmented areas.
Never ever, ever pick, peel, rub, scratch, or pull on skin that is flaking off. You should allow it to heal and fall off naturally.
What to expect after procedure
It is normal after procedure to have mild swelling, itching, redness, and dry tightness.
Slightly uneven appearance will disappear once swelling goes away. Any unevenness or pigment loss problem can be corrected at the touch up appointment.
Too dark, color change or color loss. As the procedure area starts to heal the color will lighten (7-10 days). At one point the color can disappear. It is normal. Pigment typically resurfaces within a few days. If not, we can adjust the color intensity during the touch up appointment. This is why touch up procedure is necessary.
It is a two-step process. You will not see the final result until the area is completely healed after your touch up session (done 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure). Without the touch up session the work is not completed.
The procedure area has to be completely healed before we can address any concerns. Please be patient and trust the process and your artist!
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in pigment loos, discoloration or in developing of infection.
Eyeliners may have some residual pigment left from the procedure which will peel or flake off in a couple of days. This is normal. The eyeliners tend to fade more than any other zone due to the moisture in the eye area. After the touch-up, the color holds better and lasts longer. It may take 2-3 touch-ups to achieve the desired result.
Clean contacts can be worn only 72 hours after the procedure. If you use Saline-based eye drops, it must be substituted with sterile water. If you use a Saline solution for your eyes, the eyeliners will lose color instantly.
No mascara, nor any eye make-up for 7 days after the procedure.
No eyelash growth serum. Can be restarted in 1 month after the touch up procedure.
For the first two days after the procedure, do not drink any liquids prior to going to bed. It may cause eyes to be swollen on the next day.
